Do You Worry About The Effects Of Getting Older?

  • Do you wish that you could feel better as you age?

  • As a woman, are you worried about the effects of menopause and don’t know how you will get through the accompanying hot flashes, vaginal dryness, or body aches?

  • If you’re a man, does the prospect of experiencing fatigue or sexual dysfunction due to aging concern you?

  • Are you doing everything right—eating well, working out, getting regular check-ups—and you simply want to avoid the pending decline?

Maybe you have already shared how your body has felt recently with your physician, but they didn’t investigate it further because “your numbers are normal” (if they even check labs for you!). Or perhaps you’re afraid of the changes your body is going through, and you might think, There has to be a solution to the highs and lows my body feels.

A Better Way to Counter the Effects of Aging

Traditional medicine tells us to accept the effects and the diseases of aging. Doctors might prescribe drugs to counter the effects of your ailments. Or they may even try hormone therapy but prescribe synthetic hormones that don’t always sync well with your body.

Bioidentical Hormone therapy, on the other hand, utilizes plant-based hormones that better mimic your natural hormones and can help replenish and optimize your hormone levels where they once were in your youth. Through Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), you can regain your health and vitality.

Aging Is A Part Of The Challenging Circle Of Life

Aging is something that everyone experiences—whether now or later. As we age, hormones start to decline, beginning in our 40’s, and continue to decline after the age of 50. During this period, our production of key hormones decreases—such as estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, thyroid, and melatonin.

As a result of this decline, our bodies can suffer many issues that can impact our health. We may experience common symptoms of decreasing reproductive health and libido. Declining hormone levels also result in an increased risk for other health conditions and illnesses, such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, and senility.

BHRT Is Preventative Medicine

Fortunately, a revolution in science and medicine has identified hormone replacement as preventative medicine, and many have benefited from this treatment for decades.

Yet, in this day and age, there are still a number of barriers that can keep us from fully benefiting from bioidentical hormone therapy.

  1. Traditional medicine considers illness and progressively declining health a “normal” part of the aging process.

  2. Most people (and many physicians) fear BHRT, believing that replacing hormones is dangerous.

  3. Much of the insurance and pharmaceutical industry is influenced by the political and economic gain from aging by prescribing temporary solutions to age-related ailments. The interest is not in the movement towards wellness but instead the long-term maintenance of illness.

With skilled professional guidance, however, hormone therapy has the power to restore your health and sustain your quality of life as you age.

Hormone Therapy Can Combat The Effects Of Aging And Improve Your Quality Of Life

As my clients aged, and I got older too, I recognized the need for an improved approach to not only aging but healthcare in general. What led me on this journey was the lack of wellness I was seeing in medicine in general, but particularly, the lack of wellness I had observed amongst my own clients, many of whom I had cared for for over 20 years.

As a board-certified OB/GYN I had decades of training and experience in prescribing synthetic hormones, but I did not fully appreciate the limitations until I began to see the remarkable differences in prescribing BHRT while treating the same issues. After I began implementing a new approach, I decided to shut down my surgical practice to focus solely on providing bioidentical hormone therapy.

Tailoring My Approach to Your Unique Needs

I work with women who are premenopausal, perimenopausal, and menopausal, as well as with men experiencing andropause. I also work with younger clients with OTHER hormone-related issues like Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

The initial intake consultation consists of a review of a comprehensive questionnaire and a panel of labs and other supporting documents. About six weeks after that, we will have a second consultation to review additional lab results and build on the treatment plan. The insight I gain through our consultations will help me tailor the treatment plan to fit your specific hormonal needs, makeup, and deficiencies.

Subsequent appointments will take place every four to six months or as needed. During consultations, we will explore your goals and health care concerns. Once a hormonal regimen personally designed for your adjustments has been established, we will address and meet these goals/concerns accordingly.

Educating You Is a Crucial Part of Treatment

Sessions will include additional client education on the whys and hows of bioidentical hormone therapy—this education is a critical part of the ongoing process during consultations.

Because I am invested in keeping myself abreast of emerging topics, I want you to be educated too, understanding the risks, benefits, pros, and cons. Periodically I will also update you on new information in the field that I am studying via monthly lectures and monthly journal reviews as well as conferences and ongoing daily physician forums.

A treatment plan typically spans over one year and primarily utilizes capsules and some creams. Within that timespan, a customized BHRT regimen can help you address the effects of your hormonal imbalance in a safe and proven way so that you are happier and healthier—a winning combination that will soon put you on the road to an overall improved quality of life.

But You May Still Have Questions About Hormone Therapy...

I don’t understand how hormone therapy can help me.

I’m all about helping my clients be informed. In treatment, you’ll have access to continuous education through videos and manuals and ongoing consultations with me. This can help you stay updated on evidence-based practices and literature to better understand what bioidentical hormone therapy is, its history, and how it can help you.

I try to share as much information as possible to give clients the tools to answer questions or combat myths and, in many cases, help their other providers understand the many benefits of this new health journey.

My doctor doesn’t support hormone therapy and thinks it is unsafe.

Many doctors feel that way because of some of the negative effects of synthetic hormones. This is often based on the literature that they are primarily exposed to and are reading. However, I use bioidentical hormones for my clients which have proven to be safe.

Moreover, I share findings and other educational tools with my clients so that you can have your fingers on the pulse of hormone replacement therapy and can combat inaccurate information and advice oftentimes rooted in tradition. The more you learn about and understand how your body works, the more confident you’ll be about your decisions to start and continue a BHRT regimen.

I’m afraid of what hormone treatment might do to my body.

Bioidentical hormone therapy can benefit both women and men. And to understand how BHRT can improve your life, education is a big part of the picture. Learning more about the process can help you to develop more trust in its benefits. I’ve helped many clients to regain their health—with consistency, the results eventually speak for themselves.
